TORBED systems may be used for drying, torrefaction, calcining, pyrolysis, gasification, fuming or combustion-type processes. Operation can be from ambient temperatures to as high as 1600 oC. Recently the company has implemented microwave drying and heating for foods, spices and snack products.
The TORBED technology has also met the challenge in the gas scrubbing industry for removing acid gases such as hydrogen fluoride, from high volumetric flows, due to its low pressure drop and high overall efficiency.
