Environmental protection is implicit in JWT's integrated systems approach to the design of process plants. The Company specializes in process and hygiene trail systems for the mineral and metal processing industries and for waste reclamation and treatment.
Afterburner designs may be applied to the burnout of hydrocarbons, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen as well as combustible metal vapors or particulates such as zinc.
The trail systems condition and filter or clean particulates from exhaust gas and hygiene streams and remove acid gases or heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium or selenium prior to discharge of a fully cleaned gas stream to the atmosphere. A variety of unit operations are employed depending on the duty and include fabric filter with reactors, dry or wet electrostatic precipitators, dry or wet scrubbing, demisting and adsorption in various combinations. For pyrolysis applications high temperature ceramic filters have been applied in our systems.
